Two days of mushrooms in Caspar: forays, workshops and a Forager's Feast.
- When: Saturday, November 14 · 10 AM–4 PM
- Every year: Usually mid-November
- Where: Caspar Community Center, Caspar, CA
Organized by Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club. Details and tickets come from the organizer.

The Mendocino Coast Mushroom Club’s festival fills the Caspar Community Center for two days at the height of mushroom season. It’s run by volunteers, it’s in its third year, and it’s the best way to learn what’s growing in the forest behind your rental.
What happens
- Talks and presentations
- Workshops: mushroom propagation, paper making and dyeing with mushrooms
- Guided forays into the woods
- Mushroom identification, spore prints and wild mushroom displays
- Kids’ activities
- A marketplace: foraged mushrooms, mushroom-dyed goods, art, books and teas
Food and drink
Petite Percebes cooks mushroom dishes both days. On Saturday evening there’s a separately ticketed Forager’s Feast, cooked by Chef Chad Hyatt.
