Food that does what your retreat promises

Your wellness retreat promises restoration. The food has to deliver it — and food is the one part of a wellness program guests judge instantly and remember longest.

We build clean, vibrant, seasonal menus for wellness retreats across Mendocino County: organic produce from local farms, thoughtful proteins, and dishes that leave people energized rather than heavy. Cooked on site at your retreat center, ranch or rental house, and timed around your programming.

Restorative shouldn’t mean austere

The failure mode of wellness catering is food that’s virtuous and joyless — correct on paper, thin on the plate, and quietly resented by day three. People came to feel looked after. Undersalted steamed vegetables don’t feel like being looked after.

Everything we send out has to be genuinely delicious first and clean second. That’s a cooking problem, and it’s solvable: build flavor with acid, herbs, good olive oil, char, citrus, fermentation and proper seasoning rather than with butter and cream. Guests should finish a week feeling lighter and also feeling fed.

Menus that match the protocol

Tell us the framework your program runs on and we’ll build to it rather than around it:

  • Anti-inflammatory — oily fish, leafy greens, turmeric and ginger used properly, olive oil, minimal refined sugar.
  • Plant-forward or fully plant-based — a genuine strength here, not a compromise.
  • Low-glycemic — whole grains, legumes, plenty of fiber, sweetness from fruit rather than sugar.
  • Gluten-free and allergy-safe — built into the menu so nobody eats a lesser version of dinner.
  • Paleo, Whole30-adjacent, elimination protocols — send us the rules and we’ll work inside them.

Where a protocol and a great dish genuinely conflict, we’ll tell you rather than quietly serve something that undercuts your program.

Service that matches the room

A wellness retreat has a tone, and a kitchen can wreck it in about four seconds. We work quietly: no clatter, no shouted service, no chef appearing mid-session to ask a question that could have waited.

If your retreat holds silent mornings or silent meals, say so and we’ll lay everything out and disappear. If it’s warmer and more social, we’ll be present and talk people through what they’re eating and where it came from — which, for a group thinking about what they put in their bodies, is usually part of the point.

Good to know

Can menus support specific protocols?

Yes — vegan, paleo, low-glycemic, anti-inflammatory and allergy-safe menus are all well within range. Tell us your framework and any individual requirements, and we’ll build one menu the whole room can eat.

Do you cook on site at retreat venues?

Yes, at retreat centers, large rentals, ranches and inns throughout Mendocino County. Tell us the property and we’ll tell you honestly what its kitchen supports — our venue guides cover that for the places we know.

How is pricing structured?

Per person per day for full programs, quoted from your actual schedule. Single dinners start at $175 per person. See the pricing guide for the full picture.

Can you handle a detox or cleanse week?

Yes, and we’d want a proper conversation first. Cleanse weeks are the ones where getting the food wrong does the most damage to a program, so we’d rather over-plan them — including what happens on the day guests come off the protocol, which is the meal people remember.

Do you cover the whole stay, or just dinners?

Either. Most wellness groups want the full arc — breakfasts, lunches, dinners and what people reach for in between — because the between-meals moments are where a clean program usually falls apart. See retreat catering for how multi-day programs run.
