Chef Chantelle is popping up at Black Cat Ceramics for First Friday, May 1st, 2026
Chef Chantelle is back at Black Cat Ceramics for May's First Friday, this time joined by Nettles for Mona for a menu built entirely around the green of early spring. Nettle Potato Leek Soup leads — silky, vegetal, the kind of soup that tastes like the hillside it came from. Green Garlic Rolls bring the first young garlic of the season, milder and sweeter than its summer self, folded into something warm and pillowy. The Green Sauce ties it together, herb-forward and bright, made to be spooned over everything on your plate.
Pianist Jack Leung plays live through the evening, turning the gallery into a proper supper club for a few hours. Proceeds from the night go to Jack Leung Medical Costs.
Black Cat Ceramics is a creative collective at 334 North Franklin Street, working with clay, fire, water, and air — and on First Friday, it doubles as a dining room. Handmade soup bowls are 25% off in the shop, so you can eat your meal out of something made right there on the coast.
Free to attend. Food served 5–7PM. 334 N Franklin, Fort Bragg.
